Adult Sunday School Classes:
C.I.H.U. means "Can I Help You". While the CIHU class is the "Senior" group at St. Luke, anyone, any age is welcome. There are seven teachers who are well qualified and interesting. Each teacher has a different way of presenting a lesson. CIHU still likes to party and is a friendly, caring group who try to live up to their name by taking care of each other and others. CIHU gives to Meals for the Elderly and ministers to local assisted living facilities and nursing homes throughout the year. CIHU meets in Rooms 1 & 2 of the Multi-Purpose building.
DISCIPLESHIP is a class of senior adults who engage in a variety of study topics that include, but are not limited to, Lenten & Advent Lessons, Bible studies, contemporary social issues relating to Christian faith and personal faith concerns. The group takes an active part in the life of the congregation, supporting its various ministries. The class thinks of itself in terms of the UMC philosophy of "open hearts, open minds & open doors". You are welcome to join us each Sunday in Room 3 of the Multi-Purpose building.
COMMON GROUND is just that-- a class made up of a wide variety of ages, couples & singles. The class is very supportive of each other and is a warm and friendly group. Past studies have focused on the teachings of Rick Warren and Philip Yancey. This class meets in the Room 9 in the Education building. A new study begins on September 4 and is based on the book Heaven, by Randy Alcorn.
TRIPLE AAA's are an "All Ages of Adults" class interested in lively discussions on a wide variety of topics related to Christian Faith. All viewpoints are welcome as we search together to increase our personal understanding of God. The AAA's are actively involved in many service and mission projects and meet in Room 5 of the Education Building.
GROWTH THRU STUDY is a diverse group of a wide variety of ages, couples & singles whose goal is to come together each week to further understand God's love in a small group setting and to love and care for one another through fellowship, prayer and searching God's word. This group meets in the Multi Purpose Building.
SISTERS OF ST. LUKE is a casual devotional study and support group for women led by Karla Thompson. The group is studying "Forgiveness, the Passionate Journey" and meets in LH4.
